Dr. Gary M. Greene is a 1982 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Greene completed an internship at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1984 he returned to Louisiana and went into private practice in the Folsom/Covington area.
In 1995, Dr. Greene became a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists (DACT), and then served on the ACT board as a director from 2000-2002. He is an active member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, and Society for Theriogenology. Dr. Greene has been a guest speaker at multiple seminars and conferences around the country ranging in topics from equine reproduction to canine semen freezing to camelid breeding.
In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Greene serves on the board of directors for the Louisiana Southeast District Livestock Show Association, St. Tammany Parish Forestry Association, Louisiana Angus Association, Vice President of the St Tammany Cattlemen’s Association and the Administrative Council at St Timothy United Methodist Church.
He and his wife, Kim, and their two sons, live on a farm in the Lee Road area of St. Tammany Parish. His interests outside of the equine industry include managing his pure bred Angus beef herd, farming interests and other outdoor activities.
Dr. Hunter S. Lewis, an Oklahoma native, is a 1996 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Lewis moved to Louisiana and joined Greene and Associates. In addition to the large amount of reproductive work, Dr. Lewis has special interest in equine dentistry and neonatology.
Dr. Lewis is an active member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Equine Practitioners. He has written multiple laymen articles for Animal Magazine and local area publications and takes a special interest in the New Heights Therapy riding program.
Dr. Lewis, his wife Regina, and their three sons live in the Folsom area. Together they enjoy water skiing, bird dogs, and fishing.
Dr. Barry V. Strickland is a 2001 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Strickland, originally from Richton, Mississippi, relocated to Folsom, Louisiana after completion of veterinary school and joined Greene, Lewis and Associates.
Dr. Strickland is an active member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Equine Practitioners. and holds a current veterinary license in Mississippi. He also is an active member of First Baptist Church of Covington where he serves on various committees.
Dr. Strickland, his wife, Renee’, and their three children, Noah, Harris and Shelby live in the Lee Road area.
Dr. Matthew Greene, a Covington native who graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and joined Greene, Lewis and Associates. Dr. Matt is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Dr. Matt has a keen interest in podiatry and therapeutic shoeing as well as equine and bovine reproduction.
Dr. Matt, his wife Kelsey and their two children Nora Grace and Gus live in the Lee Road area. They are deeply devoted to managing their purebred Angus herd along with his mother and father. In addition Matt enjoys fishing and wildlife management on his property.
